It’s no secret that this year

Hasn’t been the easiest

     But if we could just change our focus

                 for a moment, we would see There’s always something

To be thankful for.

You experienced joy,

Someone was hurting

At times you felt A peace

That surpassed your understanding,

Your neighbor wrestled

with hopelessness.

      Many lost loved ones …   

We had each other and our families

Some have wondered where

Their next meal was going to come from,

Even as we've had more than enough.
